TERMS AND CONDITIONS

2.1 Independent Operations

All VORT examiners are Authorised Examiners appointed by the Registrar of Motor Vehicles and operate independently from LicenceMate. You acknowledge and understand that:

• LicenceMate has no authority, influence, or involvement in the examination process, assessment criteria, or test outcomes
• Examiners conduct assessments in accordance with government standards and regulations without any input from LicenceMate
• LicenceMate cannot and does not influence examination results in any way

3.1 Recent Test History

By booking our services, you acknowledge and confirm that:

• You have NOT failed a driving test within the fourteen (14) days immediately preceding your booking
• You are eligible to sit for a driving test according to South Australian regulations

4.1 Meeting Location

• All lessons and tests operate on a meet-at-location basis
• We do not provide pickup or drop-off services unless a separate package benefit applies under our Package Terms and Pass Guarantee Terms
• You must arrive at the designated exam location at the scheduled time
• Late arrival may result in forfeiture of your booking without refund

4.2 Re-test Policy

• If you fail your test, you must wait a minimum of fourteen (14) days before rebooking
• Re-test scheduling is subject to our availability and work schedule
• The 14-day waiting period is mandatory and cannot be waived

4.3 Test Timing

• The VORT cannot be started earlier than 5 minutes before or later than 15 minutes after the booked time
• If you are not ready to commence the VORT during this allocated time, you will forfeit your test and full payment will be required – No Refunds

4.4 Test Conditions and Restrictions

• You must allow an Authorised Person (a Government employee who has clearly identified himself or herself) to observe, from within the test vehicle if requested. The Authorised Person will ask the Instructor to produce your Learner's Permit
• You will not be allowed to carry passengers (or animals) during a VORT. (The Authorised Examiner and any Authorised Persons are exempt.)
• An interpreter is not permitted to ride within the vehicle during a VORT. Prior to the beginning of the test and with assistance of the interpreter, the Authorised Examiner must explain the meaning of any hand signals to be used during the test. At the end of the test, the Authorised Examiner must explain the test result to the driver with assistance from the interpreter

5.1 Student-Provided Vehicle Requirements

When selecting the "Your Car" option, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Your vehicle must be roadworthy and in good mechanical condition
• Your vehicle must have current registration and insurance valid for the test date
• You are solely responsible for ensuring your vehicle meets all legal requirements
• Your vehicle must have dual mirrors (internal rear-view mirror and external mirrors on both sides)
• All lights, indicators, and warning systems must be in working order
• Tyres must have adequate tread depth and be in good condition
• Brakes, steering, and all safety systems must be fully functional

5.2 Vehicle Safety and Liability

• The examiner reserves the right to refuse to conduct the test if the vehicle is deemed unsafe or unsuitable
• If the test is cancelled due to vehicle defects or non-compliance, no refund will be provided
• You assume full responsibility and liability for any mechanical failures or accidents involving your vehicle
• You must ensure your insurance covers the examiner as an authorised driver during the test

6.1 Required Documentation

You MUST have the following documents available:

• Your valid, original learner’s permit (not expired, cancelled or otherwise invalid). Digital licences are accepted via the mySAGOV app, but you must log in and display it to the examiner, so ensure your phone has sufficient battery and internet access.
• If converting an International Temporary Driving Permit: Your physical, valid, original International Temporary Driving Permit (not expired, not cancelled, and legally issued) + original valid photo ID (e.g. passport)
• Overseas licence with certified English translation as required (if applicable)
• Any other documentation required by the testing authority

7.1 Cancellation Notice

• Cancellations must be made at least 4 business days before your scheduled appointment
• Business hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding public holidays
• Cancellations made with less than 4 business days' notice are non-refundable

8.1 Currency and Processing

• All fees and transactions are in Australian Dollars (AUD)
• Payment must be made in full at the time of booking
• We accept credit/debit cards and electronic transfers

9.1 Test Outcome Liability

By booking a VORT test through LicenceMate, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You book the examination at your own discretion and risk
• You are solely responsible for your driving competency and test performance
• LicenceMate provides booking facilitation services only and cannot influence test outcomes in any way
• LicenceMate accepts no liability for test results, examination decisions, assessor evaluations, or any related outcomes
• Test results are determined exclusively by your demonstrated driving ability during the official examination

10.1 Service Modifications

LicenceMate reserves the right at any time and from time to time to:

• Modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any Service (or any part thereof)
• Make changes with or without notice
• Adjust scheduling based on instructor availability

11.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and LicenceMate regarding our services.

11.2 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia.
